William's Song a Day Blog - est. September 2007

From: Quarterflash ; Year: 1981; Genre: Hard Rock For the last few days music from the band Quarterflash has been on my mind, thought it would be as a good time as any to pick another one of their songs. This was, I believe, their second single from their debut record; the first was, of course, the 1980's standard Harden My Heart . Find Another Fool has a harder rock edge to it, very much in the vain of Pat Benatar from the same time; although that signature saxophone and the added violin really adds a lot of distinctiveness.   Hear Find Another Fool on YouTube.       My song pick 1 year ago today: Dire Straits - Solid Rock   My song pick 2 years ago today: J Rocc - Cold Heat Megamix   My song pick 3 years ago today: Marshall Crenshaw - You're My Favorite Waste of Time   My song pick 4 years ago today: Scorpions - Dancing With the Moonlight   My song pick 5 years ago today: The Surfaris - Point Panic My song pick 6 years ago today: The Temp...

I was thinking of this song today, so I thought I should pick it. I cannot count how many times I have heard this song either on recording or the radio over the years; not so much that the song is spoiled though. I really like the driving bass line and the beat in this one, however every other aspect of the song is pretty good as well; a nice bluesy rock song. Here is the music video on YouTube.
