1173 Charlie Barnet & His Orchestra - Skyliner This hot piece of Swing seemed to fit my mood quite well this morning. This is one of Charlie Barnet's more famous compositions though he is probably best known for his rendition of Ray Noble's song Cherokee , which can be found here on YouTube . I absolutely love the way the saxophones were used/arranged in this song: they just cut right through the middle quite nicely; which probably has something to do with Charlie Barnet's primary instrument being the sax.
