3858. Carmen - Bullfight

Image
From: Fandangos in Space ; Year: 1973; Genre: Progressive Rock/Flamenco Rock I wish this band would've lasted longer; their music is so unique and there are only three albums worth, which is a shame. Anyway, if you like heavy and technical music with the drama and flare of flamenco this one will please, heck, even if that's not your cup of tea it's still great music. Hear Bullfight on YouTube. Image
From: Synchronicity ; Year: 1983; Genre: Rock/New Wave Here's a very interesting and weird song from The Police; has song progressive rock traits with the insanity of the delivery of the lyrics and the out of this world music accompanying it. 3853. Jethro Tull - Ears of Tin

Image
From: Rock Island ; Year: 1989; Genre: Progressive Rock/Hard Rock Ears of Tin has always been my favourite song off of Rock Island , and without a doubt one from that period. This one continues that sound that's somewhat similar to Dire Straits, but the dynamics and contrast of the verses and chorus musically is very much a 'Tull trait. I love the the intricate story and scenery painted by the lyrics, which help to sell the city/country bifurcation the individual song feels. Hear Ears of Tin on YouTube. Image
From: Permanent Vacation ; Year: 1987; Genre: Hard Rock I've always loved that bass in they have in this song; a nice driving riff pulling the low-end along. Image

3842. The Cranberries - Linger

Image
From: Everybody Else is Doing it , So Why Can't We?; Year: 1993; Genre: Alternative Rock As probably most already know, Dolores O'Riordan passed away suddenly at the young age of 45; may she rest in peace. It seems like lately I've been having to say goodbye to a plethora of great musicians that I grew up and was inspired by. However, I shouldn't focus on myself here, but on the incredible gift Dolores gave us that will live on and on. 3840. Pallas - Win or Lose

Image
From: The Wedge ; Year: 1986; Genre: Progressive Rock For about a week now I've been thinking of picking something from one of my favourite 1980s prog/rock bands: Pallas. From: So ; Year: 1986; Genre: Progressive Rock Whilst working in the kitchen yesterday Peter Gabriel's music started playing in my mind, so as always....
