From: The 2nd 3rd Secret ; Year: 2023; Genre: Alternative Rock Happened to be thinking about this "grunge" supergroup once again and found their second album. I know it has been about 3 1/2-4 years since I looked them up, but better late than never. Climb Aboard was without a doubt the first track to really catch my attention; it has everything you want to hear from such a group and really not a lot to detract either.   Hear Climb Aboard on YouTube.         My song pick 1 year ago today: The Who - When I Was a Boy     My song pick 2 years ago today: Big Country - Broken Heart (Thirteen Valleys)   My song pick 3 years ago today: Pallas - Reds Under the Beds   My song pick 4 years ago today: The Jimmy Castor Bunch - Future Place   My song pick 5 years ago today: Paris - Janie   My song pick 6 years ago today: Rush - The Stars Look Down   My song pick 7 years ago today: Bob Welch - Outskirts My song pick 8 years ago today: ...

From: 3rd Secret ; Year: 2021; Genre: Alternative Rock The first time I perused this album from the supergroup 3rd Secret I noticed this track's title and knew I had to choose it on this perfect day for it. For those of us who grew up with or lived through the early to mid 1990s grunge movement, Last Day of August will give you a very familiar and probably welcoming sound to your ears. Anyhoo, for others like myself whom may not be aware, this is a project by members of bands who made up the Seattle grunge scene back in the early-mid 1990s. With alumni from the likes of Soundgarden, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, amongst others you would kind of figure out what they sound like. However, they are not a Temple of the Dog for the 2020s; their sound is actually fairly unique, but blended with that familiar grunge you've been hearing for about 30 some odd years now.   Hear Somewhere in Time on YouTube.       My song pick 1 year ago today: The Temptations - Funky Music Sho Nuff Turns Me On   My song pick 2 years ago today: Ultravox -...
