From: Where Did Our Love Go ; Year: 1964; Genre: R&B/Soul/Motown It seems every time I have a song by The Supremes or Diana Ross come on without realizing it I turn the volume way up and just bask in the beautiful sounds of their vocals and the incomparable music of the one and only Funk Brothers. From: Cream of the Crop ; Year: 1969; Genre: Soul/R&B/Motown After hearing some of their beautiful music this morning I really wanted to pick another one of their songs. I like so much of their work, so it's difficult to put their songs in order as to which one I like the most, but this one would definitely be among them. Someday We'll be Together was and is looked upon as the "swan song" of Diana Ross being with the act; that added to the overall powerful emotions present in the song both vocally and musically and you get an overwhelming, powerful song. There is something almost magical about the Motown sound mixed with the beautiful voices of Diana Ross & the Supremes; just an amazing track. Here is the studio version on YouTube. This is one of my favorite songs, if not my favorite song from Diana Ross & Supremes. As with most Motown songs it is rhythm driven, both the bass and drums are fantastic.
