4067. Jethro Tull - Night in the Wilderness

Image
From: Catfish Rising ; Year: 1991; Genre: Blues Rock Had the blues-rock stylings from Catfish Rising get triggered in my mind today by someone's passing comment that had really nothing to do with the record or this song, so I again take it as a sign and I'm picking one from it. Image
From: Nashville Skyline ; Year: 1969; Genre: Folk Rock I might bring down the hammer on myself for saying this, but vocally this is one of my favourite Dylan song; I just love that lower, more controlled delivery. Image
From: Sugar Shack ; Year: 1963; Genre: Rock 'n Roll This is one of those songs where there's certain aspects that I love and others I don't as much. 4058. Aretha Franklin - Freeway of Love

Image
From: Who's Zoomin' Who? ; Year: 1985; Genre: Soul/R&B/Pop As most everybody's aware, the undisputed Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin just passed away; I'm still in shock from it. Her music has always been around me and she was among my favourite singers. She and her amazing voice will surely be missed. Anyway, this is one of her songs I've always loved since I first heard it. I like the way she has always kept herself and her music relevant no matter wot the tastes of the music scene; not very many people in music can say the same for their musical career that span about six decades. I can say for certain that people will be listening to Aretha Franklin's music for centuries to come. Hear Freeway of Love on YouTube. Image
From: Can't Deny Me (Single) ; Year: 2018; Genre: Alternative Rock Found out about this new single from Pearl Jam yesterday and thought I'd go ahead and give it a listen. 4055. 3 Inches of Blood - Wykydtron

Image
From: Advance and Vanquish ; Year: 2004; Genre: Thrash Metal/Power Metal When I first heard this song I knew it had to be this pick number. The year in which the mechanical abomination, " The Wykydtron ," is created that leads to this horror story is 4055, so it was a perfect time to choose it I would think. Anyway, this is a good mix of metal styles and combined with the science fiction dystopian story it makes for a killer song. Hear Wykydtron on YouTube. 4049. Michael Martin Murphey - Wildfire

Image
From: Blue Sky - Night Thunder ; Year: 1975; Genre: Country This is one of those albums I grew up with and still like to this day; my mom played it a lot. This was one of my top favourites on the album, mostly due to the storytelling of a horse and a girl who pays the ultimate price to recapture it and becomes some sort of a ghost riding the plains with her horse. 4047. Carmen - Tales of Spain

Image
From: Fandangos in Space ; Year: 1973; Genre: Progressive Rock/Flamenco Rock Whilst on the road yesterday I was really enjoying hearing the music of the Avant-garde Flamenco Rock band Carmen.
