From: Stone Temple Pilots ; Year: 2018; Genre: Hard Rock/Alternative Rock Finally got around to checking this album out, which is the debut for Jeff Gutt taking over vocal duties for the band. I have to say, this song, which is the lead single from the record, doesn't really sound much like what comes to mind when I think of STP, which isn't a bad thing I suppose. 1485 Stone Temple Pilots - Plush From: Core , Year: 1992 Genre: Alternative Rock/Rock/Grunge Off and on for the last few days I've had Stone Temple Pilots running through my mind, so I thought I would pick one of their songs on this Saturday Evening. I could have sworn that I had picked this song a some point in the last four years, but I guess not... so I will remedy that. After yesterday's pick of The Cure's song Burn , I was listening to music from the soundtrack from The Crow movie and I had to choose this one today. For me this song has been a sleeper as far as a Stone Temple Pilots' song; it is not distinctive enough when compared with other great songs that they wrote and performed to make it really stand out. However, this is an incredible track that I absolutely love whenever I hear it and I consider it to be one of their best offerings; perfectly what you would expect from STP. While out on the road on this busy day this song came on my iPod and I figured that I should choose it. This is one song that I fell in love with instantly when I first heard it. I don't know if it is the vocals or the guitar riffs that first got me hooked on this track, but I like it all the same. This song is one of those songs where everything just clicks into place almost perfectly. Here is the music video on YouTube. +
