I've always kind of liked it, especially the hard-driving choruses, but as stated, it's just not a full-on favourite of mine. From: 666 ; Year: 1972; Genre: Progressive Rock/Psychedelic Rock The other day I found out that composer extraordinaire Vangelis passed away at the age of 79. He is most likely best-known for writing and performing the scores of Chariots of Fire and Blade Runner amongst many other films and documentaries. Other than the fore-mentioned movies my main exposure to Vangelis' work was the final album from one of his early bands/projects: Aphrodite's Child , 666 . The Four Horsemen is one of the songs of notoriety from the record, which, of course, was a concept album based on The Apocalypse of John . From: Music for the Masses ; Year: 1987; Genre: New Wave/Synthpop Was it a day or so ago? I was enjoying listening to some Depeche Mode and they've been on my mind off and on ever since. Behind the Wheel is definitely a product of its time with that very danceable '80s synthpop sound, and a very interesting song to boot across the board. From: Focus 11 ; Year: 2018; Genre: Progressive Rock/Jazz Fusion Earlier today whilst playing a racing video game I had my music on shuffle and had Focus' seminal hit Hocus Pocus , which is the song they are most known for here in The 'States, come on and was perfect for the occasion of speeding around a race track. Anyway, it got me in the mood to hear some more from the classic rock band out of The Netherlands, so I decided to check out their most recent offerings and, of course, I immediately went to the longest track on the album, which happened to also be the record's title-track.
