From: Santana IV ; Year: 2016; Genre: Chicano Rock/Latin Rock Discovered this one-off record that featured almost all of the surviving members from the early period of Santana: Santana III and prior. This includes Carlos Santana (of course), Neal Schon, Gregg Rolie, Michael Shrieve, and Mike Carabello; the rest of the lineup was completed by current members of the band. I really like this classic sound all around, it really takes you back to those revered songs we all love from the band. From: Motor Booty Affair ; Year: 1978; Genre: Funk Personally, it would be impossible for me to pick a favourite P-Funk album. Though, if I did have to choose one I would probably say that my favourite would be the one currently in the player or on the turntable. That said, I've always loved Motor Booty Affair just for the crazy zaniness and of course that infectious groove. From: Can You Feel It ; Year: 1973; Genre: Progressive Rock/Jazz Rock Had the Canadian Jazz/Rock band Lighthouse on my mind since last night. They are one of the main bands known for having a full horn section along with Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears, and as such have a lot of similarities on the surface, but also have a very unique sound. From: A Journal of the Plague Year ; Year: 1999; Genre: Folk Rock/Psychedelic Rock I find it kind of strange how I became a fan of Tom Rapp's work. First learning about his band Pearls Before Swine from a Reprise record advertisement inside one of my Dad's vinyl record's inner sleeve. Thought their name was interesting and looked them up later out of curiosity and ended up falling in love with the deep, heavy and meaningful lyrics as well as Tom Rapp's unique and imperfect vocals. This solo record was the first that he recorded in over 25 years after leaving the music industry after becoming essentially bankrupt due to a bad recording contract and the many issues that go along with touring and being in a band. Sadly, as far as I am aware, this was also his final album other than some appearances as a guest on other artists' songs. Shoebox Symphony is the final track on the record, which consists of three parts and is over 10 minutes long. The first part, Where is...
