William's Song a Day Blog - est. September 2007

From: 20 Years of Jethro Tull ; Year: 1988 (1981); Genre: Rock This is one of my favourite hidden gems from 'Tull. It was part of the Broadsword and the Beast recording session, but has never even made it to the remaster version of the record. I really like the '80s rock feel of this song; very different, which is probably a reason it never made it on the album. Hear Motoreyes on YouTube. This one's definitely not everybody's cup 'o tea so to speak; I've noted that with this song in particular it seems to be either you like it or you hate it. I'm in with the first group; I think it's a fun song to listen to. Hear Ballroom Blitz on YouTube. From: Stray Cats ; Year: 1981; Genre: Rock 'n Roll/Rockabilly/Blues Rock Had this one on my mind lately and I also realized that I had yet to pick a song from the Stray Cats/Brian Setzer; definitely need to remedy that one.
