For some reason this song has been running through my mind off and on this entire weekend for, since I do like the song and it is late I will add it to my list. This is one of those country/rock/pop crossover songs from the late '70s/early '80s. As with most love songs it is quite sappy, but a very nice song all the same.

From: Terrapin Station ; Year: 1977; Genre: Progressive Rock ¡Doh! I cannot believe that I missed my Memorial Day Grateful Dead pick; I guess better late than never. For some reason unbeknownst to me I just felt like putting on Terrapin Station again; immediately was welcomed by this rather strangely made track. It is just so mind-blowing to think of all the music, musicians, and history he experienced in his 95 years on this Earth, let alone all of the decades he was active. To think, that he took a large part in and saw all the new forms of jazz and the people he played with. It is a rarity to see an active musician touring for so many years, especially in jazz live so long. He definitely will be missed and then some. Anyway, I had a lot of music from many eras to choose from for this song pick. 1426 Ome Henk - Neem Een Ander In De Maling (Barbie Girl) From: Ome Henk Laat Zich Niet Kisten! , Year: 1997 Genre: Comedy/Parody Max is currently in the midst of a theme week about songs misattributed to "Weird Al" Yankovic. Almost a year ago I did a theme week based on one of my pet peeves of a similar nature: songs misattributed to the German group Rammstein . Anyway, with Max doing his theme week it brought this track back from the recesses of my brain and I figured it would make an excellent pick. When I saw this song credited to Rammstein it almost made me bang my head against my computer's screen. I mean, for crying out loud in the dead of the night, it sounds absolutely nothing like Rammstein and it's sung in Dutch, not German!
