From: Big Bam Boom ; Year: 1984; Genre: New Wave/Pop/Soul Was enjoying some of their music yesterday whilst running some errands; thought I would pick another one of their songs today. This track has a very "1980s" feel to it; more so than some of their other songs from the period, but not really to its detriment. From: Queen II ; Year: 1974; Genre: Progressive Rock It's facile to say with the breadth and depth of the absolute greatness of Queen's music, but this track just blows me away every time I hear it; to think, this was only their second studio record and they were able pull aural mastery like this off? And then to look at what they would accomplish, it's no secret as to why they are, and will continue to increase in popularity. From: To Samuel A Son ; Year: 1969; Genre: Psychedelic Rock I have been aware of this band for quite some times, but only recently have decided to delve into their music. For those not aware, the majority of the members who came and went through the existence of The Gods went on to become famous or played in other bands that became quite famous. These bands include: Uriah Heep, The Rolling Stones, Jethro Tull, The Motels, and King Crimson just to name a few. On this, their second and final album under the name The Gods, featured, I believe, Ken Hensley , Joe Konas, Lee Kerslake , and John Glascock . After this album they apparently released a third record under the name Head Machine. From: Prisoners in Paradise ; Year: 1991; Genre: Hard Rock No real reason why, but I just felt like I should choose another one from the band Europe. This is, of course, the title track from this early '90s album.
