I find that a good deal of Supertramp's songs are quite heavy and intense, but if you're not listening closely it sounds like anything but. Hide in Your Shell is one that exemplifies this and from wot I understand is autobiographical about what was going on in Roger Hodgson's life around the time. Much of the subject matter of this track is something that I, also, take to heart with my life experiences.
