With the excellent rhythm and music it's definitely a great track to just sit back and "chill out" to. From: Crimson & Clover ; Year: 1969; Genre: Psychedelic Rock/Soul This is another band I've had on my mind for the last couple of days; I thought I had already chosen Crystal Blue Persuasion at some point in the past, I guess not. For a "pop" song, they certainly made a lot of effort to complicate it somewhat and plus you gotta love the lyrics that seem superficial and people have labeled it as a drug song, but it's much, much deeper lyrically. From: Electric Light Orchestra/No Answer ; Year: 1971; Genre: Symphonic Rock/Progressive Rock I had some one their music play whilst out and about last night and they're still on my mind, so, as I always do, my choice for today is one of their songs. Mr. Radio is an interesting track especially in the way Jeff Lynne and company melded their still emerging symphonic art rock with Beatlesque rock with "old timey" Hit Parade sounds.
