This one was the B-Side of a single release that, whilst is original, it contains a lot of musical ideas from his other songs of the time. It's a good, aptly-titled track from the "Prefab Four" that pokes fun at the whole suburban lifestyle that is rife much of human-kind's shortcomings, only slightly hidden beneath a superficial guise. Apparently this song was not released on the Canadian pressing, but was on the one released in The States. From: Rocky Mountain High ; Year: 1972; Genre: Folk/Rock John Denver was one of the biggest fans of The Beatles, and you can tell by how many songs of theirs he covered and their influence on his own music and playing. Funny enough, I heard John Denver's version many times before I heard the original; my Mom is also a huge fan of John Denver and played him a lot. From: The "Angry" Young Them ; Year: 1965; Genre: Rock/Pop This is one that much of the older generations will surely recognize and maybe some younger as well. For those unaware, Them was a band from Northern Ireland in which singer/songwriter Van Morrison would "cut his teeth" so to speak; they had a few hits in their brief tenure with this being the biggest.
