From: Rock Island; Year: 1989; Genre: Progressive Rock/Hard Rock
Ears of Tin has always been my favourite song off of Rock Island, and without a doubt one from that period. This one continues that sound that's somewhat similar to Dire Straits, but the dynamics and contrast of the verses and chorus musically is very much a 'Tull trait. I love the the intricate story and scenery painted by the lyrics, which help to sell the city/country bifurcation the individual song feels.
