Song 2 (The Buoys - Timothy )

For my second pick I decided to pick this one: Timothy by The Buoys . This song came to my attention quite recently in a conversation about all of the recent mine disasters.
The song is about a mine disaster in which three men are trapped in the mine and only two come out... Needless to say this song is a bit disturbing, however it was written so it would cause controversy; it was banned on many radio stations. I think that the song itself captures the how far humans will go if things get too tough.
The band "The Buoys" were another one hit wonder and this is their hit. All in all it is a very poppy tune with a good beat and if you don't listen to the lyrics you can see why it hit 17 in 1971.
