I had no song ready for this pick, so I spun my playlist again and this gem came up. This is another song that Jim Croce wrote about the happenings during his travels. A nice tune that I believe is an excellent pick for today.

Both are probably most noted for playing integral parts in James Brown's band and the creation of the funk genre, but both also have an extensive amount of collaborations with many, many artists. The Joker is always one of my "go to" of his records and is really that bridge between his more grassroots blues rock and his more mainstream and commercially successful brand. I would have to put Shu Ba Da Du Ma Ma Ma Ma as one with aspects of both past and future versions of his sound. 1038 The Who - Rael (1 and 2) For no reason whatsoever I felt like choosing this one today. While being a Pop song, The Who still keep it as musically interesting as ever.
