Here's a great cover originally recorded by Stonewall Jackson a year prior and covered by many others as well by Johnny Rivers. I really love how he took a bluesy country track and turned it up and made it a proper gospel and rock 'n roll sound that would not be out of place in one of those churches where they sing and play such great music. Okay, What is this "Song a Day Blog?" Well, this is a hobby of mine that I have been at for over 18 years now, (since September First, 2007), in which I set aside a few minutes every day to create my ultimate playlist in a diary form, if you will. I try to add a different song each day and share with those who are interested as to why I like the song and the artist that performed it and/or maybe some facts about them.
