1056 Louis Armstrong - We Have All The Time In The World

Felt like picking this rather beautiful love song featured on the Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service; it was the only James Bond film to feature George Lazenby playing the lead role. From what I understand this song was supposedly Satchmo's last recording before his death; it is different hearing him provide vocals for such a poppy tune. It is sad that he did not play his trumpet on the track, but at least we had one more song to feature his beautiful, dynamic voice.

Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
