6261. Band of Horses - Detlef Schrempf

From: Cease to Begin; Year: 2007; Genre: Indie Rock
I have never been completely sure what this song was about except for one side of a dialogue coming to terms with a relationship. I suppose that the biggest aspect to throw me off is how the title has no apparent relation to the song's content.
I am guessing that the title is reference to Detlef Schrempf, who was a star basketball player who was a member of the now-defunct Seattle SuperSonics for a time, which with the band being from the area kind of would make sense, but still has no contention apparently.
