6257. Quincy Jones - Love, I Never Had It So Good
From: Sounds... and Stuff Like That!!; Year: 1978; Genre: Jazz/Soul |
Some times there are certain individuals in which any superlative or descriptor of greatness just falls short and just doesn't come close to what that person accomplished. Quincy Jones is one of those; if you listen to music at all you have felt his influence.
Anyway, as you can probably surmise, this musical legend recently passed away; I only heard about it yesterday. I knew I had to choose a song that he performed, wrote, produced or all of the above, but that is quite task to choose only one. I could've easily gone with any of the endless number of albums he produced, soundtracks for films, as a band leader or sideman... it was difficult. I just randomly grabbed one of his records and picked the track I liked the best, which was still hard.
Whatever the case, the world is still filled with the music he made, helped make, and/or influenced and probably will until the end of the world.
