6264. The Thermals - St. Rosa and the Swallows

From: The Body, the Blood, the Machine; Year: 2006; Genre: Indie Rock
For an indie band with punk sensibilities it's kind of interesting that they'd make a full-on concept album, but they did an amazing job painting and perhaps pre-shadowing happenings years after the record's release. It is still my personal favourite from the band, which contained the song that introduced me to their music: I Hold The Sound.
I have to say though, the high emotion and the frantic quality of the punk-inspired delivery vocally really help sell the urgency of the tale.
