From what I understand, this song is autobiographical of JY Young's early years of growing up in the Roseland neighbourhood and playing music in a band with the Panozzo Brothers, who would of course later become Styx. This is one of those "transistor glamour" songs: i.e. has everything in a small package. I don't know what it is about this song, but it's just one that makes you want to sing and dance along with it. And of course you have Steve Stevens showing off his severely underrated guitar mastery. Funny though, a long time ago I started changing his "More!" lyric into "Moe!," as in the leader of The Three Stooges .
