I believe that I have stated it before, but I am always looking for recordings of this Gershwin standard from his popular opera Porgy & Bess. Lo and behold I found another amongst the many deep cuts on Tobias Kirmayer's Movements series. 
This funky cool jazz instrumental version was originally performed live in 1975 and features primarily the Bossa Nova aspects of the west coast "cool" jazz styling.

Okay, What is this "Song a Day Blog?" Well, this is a hobby of mine that I have been at for over 18 years now, (since September First, 2007), in which I set aside a few minutes every day to create my ultimate playlist in a diary form, if you will. I try to add a different song each day and share with those who are interested as to why I like the song and the artist that performed it and/or maybe some facts about them.
