As of late a lot of music legends have passed, especially this year thus far. Found out that jazz maestro Chuck Mangione is the latest, he passed away a few days ago. He was mostly known in jazz circles and the flügelhorn is the instrument he is most associated with, although he played many others.

Okay, What is this "Song a Day Blog?" Well, this is a hobby of mine that I have been at for over 18 years now, (since September First, 2007), in which I set aside a few minutes every day to create my ultimate playlist in a diary form, if you will. I try to add a different song each day and share with those who are interested as to why I like the song and the artist that performed it and/or maybe some facts about them.
