The other day I was going over Arthur's song a day blog archive and ran into a bunch of Soundgarden he picked almost a year ago. While I've been a fan of the band's first 2 or 3 albums, after hearing the songs back then I started to take note of their later catalogue as well; especially their Down on the Upside album. Some truly excellent music.

However, this, the original doesn't really get played as much as it should. LaVern Baker has one of those blues/rock 'n roll voices that I just adore; powerful and gritty with sweetness throughout.
