3767. Jethro Tull - A New Day Yesterday
From: Stand Up; Year: 1969; Genre: Hard Rock/Blues Rock |
Had a pining for some earlier Jethro Tull again today, (big surprise there, right?)
Anyway, this is one of those albums where you just drop the needle and let it play through and this is the song that kicks off that album oriented rock glory. Still showing a bit of their blues from the earlier album and songs, A New Day Yesterday is one showing that avant-garde style they would use to become as famous as they were. That blues riff the song is based around combined with the interesting musicianship really makes this one stand out.
