I was watching the new Stargate series: Stargate Universe this evening and this song was featured at the end of tonight's episode; it was quite nice to have some different music this evening.
Alexi Murdoch is a "singwriter" from The U.K.; most of his music features vocals and guitar with modest accompaniment, however his sound is still quite full.
Apparently quite a bit of his music has been used for movies' soundtracks such as: "Ladder 49" and "Garden State" and in television shows including: "Grey's Anatomy," "House," and "Ugly Betty" among others.
