Some time ago I found this album, which is compilation of music celebrating The Space Race and space exploration and decided on picking one of my favourite tracks off of it today.
This song is about Sputnik, the first artificial satellite to orbit the Earth, which touched off the Space Race; a very cute and entertaining way of imparting history. The music is written in the style of Russian Cossack Music, those who are not familiar with that definition think of the music in the video game: Tetris.
