917 ( Fairport Convention - Who Knows Where The Time Goes )

For some reason it just hit me that I should pick something from Fairport Convention this morning. This is one of their hits off of the '69 album "Unhalfbricking" from the pen of "singer/writer/musician" Sandy Denny. This one was actually written before the band existed; a solo acoustic demo exists as well as a recording with the band The Strawbs. This is quite a beautiful song in every aspect; I absolutely love Sandy Denny's vocals mixed with the nice chord structure and guitar counter-line.
