5797. Bee Gees - First of May

From: Odessa; Year: 1969; Genre: Progressive Rock
This year just seems to be blowing right by; at least the first four months.
Anyway, with this being the first day in May I knew I needed to choose something for the occasion. It was either a song with an apropos subject/title or one about Mayday, I guess gravitated towards the former this year.
This aptly-titled track comes from "side four" off of their, (from wot I understand), failed concept album that, after a couple of title changes became the namesake of the lead track. As with the rest of the record, First of May is quite a heavy track lyrically/subject matter wise; the beautifully played and arranged music really add to this overall moodiness.
