Had this great tune on my mind on and off for the last few days; one of my favourites from the Animals, so I'm certainly choosing it.
It's My Life was originally recorded and released as a single the year prior, but made it on their Best Of album later as well as some EPs apparently. As with their contemporaries like The Kinks and Paul Revere & the Raiders, they were one of the hardest-hitting almost proto-metal bands in the mid 1960s. Sure, there were others that played even louder and heavier from that era, but Eric Burdon just had that "punk" sensibility and could deliver a devastating soulful vocal is such a way that still resonates with people of all ages all these years later.

This is one of their better hits that, even if you don't know it by title, you should immediately recognize it especially if you were around in the '80s and '90s. Mike Oldfield , who was also one of the song's writers, recorded and released it just prior. Today I received notice that a blog post, number 100 to be exact , allegedly infringed upon someone's copyright. I have not been given any other information other than just that. What is odd here is that no one Else's actual "intellectual property" is even on my blog; I am unsure as to what it is referring to because everything in the post was either written by me, therefore my intellectual property, or is linked to another website.
