After hearing this song today I checked if I had already chosen it, and of course, since you are reading this post I obliviously hadn't.
This was one of the first studio songs to be released by the band since coming back together and is one of my favourites since their reunion. As far as I know it can only be found on the Avengers Assemble movie soundtrack, however, in my opinion it is easily good enough to have been included on their newest album King Animal.

This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
