I had a couple of songs in mind for today's pick, however, after reading an article about this album I decided to pick a song off of it as well.
Overall, it is a bit difficult for me to pick a single song off of this great record; in my opinion it is greater as a whole than its parts. Anyway, this is a rather nice trip of a song, I really like Lemmy's bass intro; it sets the mood for the song.

This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
