5734. Exile - Heart & Soul
From: Heart & Soul; Year: 1981; Genre: Rock/Pop |
After a mondo busy and tiring weekend I had some material from Exile come on the way home and thought I would revisit them.
Most would probably remember the cover of this track from Huey Lewis & The News a couple years later, but it was also a minor hit for Exile as well just prior to their move into a more country/western sound musically. For this song and record, as with the Huey Lewis version, it is a blend of smooth rock and pop with some pretty good guitar playing throughout.
