From: Child is Father to the Man; Year: 1968; Genre: Jazz Rock
I finally got around to listening to Blood, Sweat & Tears' debut album, which was prior to David Clayton-Thomas joining and instead features legendary keyboardist/musician/singer Al Kooper, who has basically performed session work for countless artists, as the bandleader; he would leave before the second album was recorded.
As you could easily surmise with the sheer amount of musicianship present, this song is purely amazing to hear with so many great layers, but is still very digestible to even pop aficionados.
