Had another album on my mind today, which is course is this one from BÖC. I clearly remember hearing it a lot over the radio in the summer of '98; it still sound very fresh today.
This is the opening track on the record that welcomes you with some balls-to-the-wall fast metal featuring Eric Bloom's roaring vocals; I absolutely love the chord progression in the chorus, which is sure to induce some headbanging and rocking out.

This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. From wot I understand the title and main idea of the song was borrowed from a sermon by a popular preacher at the time, Father Divine , which translated very well into an upbeat song. Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
