Felt like listening to and picking something from Tarot this morning, this one hails from their latest album: Gravity of Light. A lot of the music on this album reminds me of Iron Maiden, but for some reason this one especially does; it probably has to do with Marco Hietala's vocals.
Anyway, it's an just an amazing song all around.

I love bands like these where they are essentially a "supergroup," but instead of already successful musicians joining forces, these are successful musicians in the making that would go on elsewhere for it. From: Freak Out! ; Year: 1966; Genre: Psychedelic Rock/Progressive Rock Some very early progressive rock here, to some Freak Out! is considered to be the very first Prog Rock/Concept album. Who Are the Brain Police? is an interesting one; I love the loosely defined 3/4 waltz that lends more of an uneasy insane feeling than that of a dance. On that base Zappa and company build a strangely, but at the same time a well-constructed piece of music complete with zombiesque singing.
