I've been meaning to pick another track from this band, but kept slipping my mind.
Anyway, this is one that some people might not be aware of, but this is the song that was later recorded by the band Heart and became a huge hit. For some reason the band never released their original version for a couple of decades when it appeared as a bonus track on Get It On Credit remaster. I really don't want to get into "who did it better" or crap like that, but I will say they did a good job on their original version; Holly Woods really was able to belt it out.

This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. From wot I understand the title and main idea of the song was borrowed from a sermon by a popular preacher at the time, Father Divine , which translated very well into an upbeat song. Anyway, I have had this concept record by Paul Kantner and company on my mind off and on over the last bit and decided now would be a good time to choose another track from it. This is the "grand finale" of the "space opera" concept, which features a big group of who's who from the folk rock scene at the time contributing on this track and a few others. Starship features the lead guitar of the late-great Jerry Garcia, although you really wouldn't need to be told that because it is so obvious his sound and style.
