As for these most recent releases from some of my top favourite artists, it's not that I just automatically "love" their material regardless. It is more along the lines of music that when it starts playing I don't seek to end the cacophony and non-concurrence as I do with much of wot has been released in recent years. Not that this music is bad or even mediocre, it's just not their best work, and not their worst either if you follow my logic here. This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. From wot I understand the title and main idea of the song was borrowed from a sermon by a popular preacher at the time, Father Divine , which translated very well into an upbeat song. From: Automatic for the People ; Year: 1992; Genre: Alternative Rock Gosh, this one really rattles some memories loose for me, not only was it from my pivotal early teenage years, but it was also quite the piece of music and quite popular; rightly so. They might've been one of the preeminent alternative rock bands, but their influences really came through on this one.
