It's just interesting how a song can affect you differently at certian times throughout your life... this is one of such. Ever since becoming a father, especially the older my child gets, this one in particular will have me bawling in tears by the first chorus, which is, I suppose not a good thing when behind the wheel of your car or in mixed company. From: In a Sentimental Mood ; Year: 1989; Genre: Swing/Big Band Jazz Had this song on my mind since yesterday; quite a catchy and upbeat track to say the least. This one is a standard from during the height of The War, originally written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer. From wot I understand the title and main idea of the song was borrowed from a sermon by a popular preacher at the time, Father Divine , which translated very well into an upbeat song. They might've been one of the preeminent alternative rock bands, but their influences really came through on this one.
