The other day I noticed that I haven't picked a song from Slade in quite a long while, so I thought I would.
While I have been a fan of their music from the '70s, it took me a bit to get into their material from subsequent decades. I have to say this song and quite a few of the others off of this album sound like they are from one of the hair metal bands of the '80s; I guess it all has to come from somewhere.

Okay, so, in the past I really wasn't one that cared for Valentine's Day; just seemed too commercial and felt like one of those occasions where society seemingly punishes the lonely people who hadn't a "sweetheart." 1411 Nightwish - Last of the Wilds (Erämaan viimeinen) From: Dark Passion Play , Year: 2007 Genre: Symphonic Metal/Folk Metal Been meaning to pick another Nightwish track for a while now. This is quite a neat track, the Uilleann bagpipes really add a lot to the sound. The song actually has two versions: Last of the Wilds is an instrumental, which was released worldwide on their Dark Passion Play album. Erämaan viimeinen is essentially the same song with vocals sung in Finnish; this version apparently was only released in their native Finland.
