6215. Luther Davis Group - You

From: Keep On Dancin'/You (Single); Year: 1977; Genre: Soul
I really, really wish that Luther Davis Jr. and his band would have released more; unless I discover more this will be my final pick from the Luther Davis Group. As far as I am aware they only released two singles, with this being the B-Side of the first, so four songs total. Of course they've appeared on a couple compilation album, which is how I discovered the singles/b-sides, but those were the a-sides.
Anyway, this one is a bit less funky and more of a tender, soulful love song that reminds me very much of the Chilites or the Defonics with the awesome vocal harmonies, but they still command their own sound.
