Been meaning to pick this track for a while now. This one has some nice dynamics; it starts out acoustic with mellow vocals and eventually the entire band kicks in. Songs like this are the main reasons I love Progressive Rock, they are not afraid to sing about about different things like fantasy, space, or things Science Fiction. Call it pretentious or escapist, but this music kicks serious butt; some times it is nice to not hear songs with similar subject matter over and over again. Just because you don't "get it" doesn't mean you have to hate it.

From: Recycler ; Year: 1990; Genre: Blues Rock Yesterday I saw that ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard passed away. Recently I saw that they had to cancel some shows and I wondered if someone was not doing well; sadly, my suspicions ended up being correct. I knew that I should choose another one from the group today. Whilst they are not one of my top favourites, I have always liked their music and enjoy it every time I hear it. Anyway, Forgive is one that Tommy Shaw and Lawrence Gowan share the lead vocals and perform some amazing harmonies; you can definitely hear some Beatles influence in those harmonies amongst others. BWV 225 ; Year: 1727; Genre: Baroque Period/classical I made it another year with this pick today. Back in 2007 on this day I started this blog on a social site called MySpace and in '09 I moved it here; it's getting hard to believe that I've been at this for eight years now. Anywho, this is an extremely beautiful motet piece for eight voices, and there's a good chance you've hear the melody to this song; it's quite memorable.
