Was recently watching the Young Guns films; after which this song from the second movie's soundtrack to keep playing in my mind.
I remember back when this song was released it got the living hell played out of it all over the place, which for me caused a bit of burnout, however I have always liked this track anyway. Both Jon's vocals and Jeff Beck's slide guitar really are the biggest draws for me, I also love the way they launch into the chorus.
From what I understand this song came into existence because Jon Bon Jovi was asked to use the song Wanted Dead or Alive for the film, but apparently he didn't believe that song fitting enough so he wrote this one instead; I for one am glad that he went that route.

How earlier could you get than choosing something from the band that would become The Guess Who? 1890 Savatage - Somewhere in Time

From: Streets: A Rock Opera ; Year: 1991; Genre: Progressive Metal Off and on over the last few days I've been listening to this Savatage album, which is one of my favourites. This is the second-to-last song and, much like the other material on the record, is a fusion between Savtage's brand of metal with opera/broadway. For the most part Somewhere in Time can be played alone without losing anything, especially if you don't pay as much attention to the lyrics. However, it does work better played with the rest of the rock opera; particularly with the final track: Believe .  Those two songs go very well together and for the most part are often played in tandem. Even though I normally listen to it along with other songs on Streets , this is still one of my favourites on the album. From: Let There Be Music ; Year: 1975; Genre: Soft Rock Just had this track pop into my mind today, and since I have yet to choose one from Orleans, as I normally do, I took it as a sign to pick it. I've never really looked into the band Orleans much, but have heard their more popular hits a lot over the years. It is one of those cases of me knowing the music but not the artist. This hit single was actually released on two consecutive studio albums, because their record company did not "see and hits" on it, so the 1974 Orleans II was only released in Europe and some Asian markets. 1411 Nightwish - Last of the Wilds (Erämaan viimeinen) From: Dark Passion Play , Year: 2007 Genre: Symphonic Metal/Folk Metal Been meaning to pick another Nightwish track for a while now. This is quite a neat track, the Uilleann bagpipes really add a lot to the sound. The song actually has two versions: Last of the Wilds is an instrumental, which was released worldwide on their Dark Passion Play album. Erämaan viimeinen is essentially the same song with vocals sung in Finnish; this version apparently was only released in their native Finland.
