From: Works Volume 1; Year: 1977; Genre: Classical/Progressive Rock/Symphonic Rock
I was in the mood for something a bit different from what I've been picking as of late. I remembered this rather epic album from EL&P and thought it would be a great idea to pick something from it.
Anyway, this is the opening piece, which was written and composed by Keith Emerson is a proper concerto that takes up the first side of the double LP. You can certainly hear the influence from many classical composers that had an influence on him throughout; mostly from the Romantic and early 20th Century periods.
