5740. The Moody Blues - In My World

From: Long Distant Voyager; Year: 1981; Genre: Progressive Rock
The record Long Distant Voyager has always had a very special place for me amongst The Moody Blues' albums. In a sense it was the "gateway" if you will, for me into their music and thus also the same "gateway" that got me initially into the progressive forms of rock and metal music that continues to this day. It's always a hoot to put it on the turntable and drop the needle and let the entire disc play; it has never fallen out of favour for me.
Anyway, In My World is the closing track for the exciting and hit-laden Side A and is a perfect track to end it in my opinion. Both Justin Heyward's vocals and B.J. Cole's steel guitar playing for me are the biggest draws.
