6014. Sly and the Family Stone - Underdog

From: A Whole New Thing; Year: 1967; Genre: Funk/Soul/Psychedelia
This one's quite a hoot to listen to, but what from the pen of Sly Stone and company isn't? I absolutely love the intro and ending of the song where they use the melody from the children's rhyme Frère Jacques with the horn section, which really gives an interesting dynamic with the contrasting thumping and raucous main section of the piece.
