6176. The Marmalade - It's All Leading up to Saturday Night

From: Best Of The Marmalade; Year: 1969 (1966); Genre: Pop/Rock
Last little bit I have had bands on my mind whilst getting ready to make the day's pick; Marmalade, or as they were known at the time of this early single: The Marmalade, was the "band de jure."
As said prior, this was an early single after the band changed their name from The Gaylords/Dean Ford and the Gaylords, which they had recorded under for about 5 years or so. Anyway, this was their initial single they released under the new moniker, but would not really break through for a few years more; despite it not being a big hit, it is a fun little pop track.
